  • Same as every gay bar I've ever entered.

  • We lost power for about 12 hours which is nothing, all things considered, and we've got the generator/transfer-switch so it was really only out for 4 hours because I didn't feel like setting it all up

  • Side benefit of all the late snow, the ability to snowshoe with the kids.  Got andrew out for a little walk in the woods this afternoon.

We're getting a predicted 10" of new snow here, and the predicted high on Monday is -11 F. This could get interesting.

I couldn't get up the hill this last night (I.E. just a couple hours ago), even though there was less than an inch of snow on the ground, it was basically my friend's glorified driveway that he shares with one other house.

Similar. I have no idea what alternate reality I have stepped into. We are not in Texas anymore.

Those of you who sat on our deck last summer drinking Dark Lord, this is what the deck looks like today:

And this is the drift outside the front door:

Cool, I wanna hang out outside! Seriously, stay warm Mike and Debbie!

I would still drink Dark Lord on the porch in the snow. But I be crazy like that.

Unfortunately I know from personal experience what I57 is like in a snowstorm. I'll take a rain check.

Yeah, we went out for a brief drive and it was hard just getting out of the subdivision. No one should be on the road in this stuff. My guess would be that I57 is probably closed in places due to drifting.

Had to take my son to work and just picked him up. Driving was OK (not good by any means). I'm not going out again today :)

This is what our back yard looks like currently. Grilled some burgers on that grill last night, in the snow (deck had been shoveled).

I love it. In the past, in weather conditions like this, our company would close for the day. This time, even though the building is closed, telecommuting policy is in effect and Debbie and I will be expected to be in front of computers at home connected to work all day tomorrow... grrrrrrr

It's worse here in Indy & still snowing...But I made it to the store(s) for supplies:)...

Yup, that's what our back yard and porch look like, Mike! Except for the psychedelic snow flakes.

School is closed for the kids today. And they're not expected to attend via the computer!

ouch hope all are safe and warm!

This. Your storms get here a few days later, but no snow, just rain and wind, fortunately temperatures don't drop below 0ºC.

Snow is mostly washed away here but I am contemplating running to REI to get a big puffy coat for tomorrow as I am not prepared at all for the temperatures tomorrow.

Got the car started but it definitely took a few extra ticks to turn over. Want to get this battery charged back up. It's -40 when you stand directly in the wind.
