I had a great time yesterday at the LA meet.

It was a pleasure to meet @cutestory and @blubliss in person, and of course Dr. Professor @dsavitsk, Ph.D, Esq.

Had a great fancy brunch, then played board games.  

Went to see Hachsaw Ridge. 

I thought about seeing Hacksaw Ridge, until I saw who directed it.

Too bad. Your loss.

Yeah, don't like Gibson, don't want to support him/his projects.  Cynic in me thinks this is his way of trying to get back in good graces of the public who cares....

Started packing for trip to Milwaukee next weekend.  There are only two reasons to go to Milwaukee, one is for a North American Cup fencing tournament and the other is...I am not sure what would be  a reason to go to Milwaukee.

Milwaukee is an absolutely fantastic city that is full of weird stuff and largely has not succumbed to the genericization of America. It has the coolest bowling alleys in the world. And a genuinely creepy cocktail lounge. The art museum is fantastic. And you can visit the University of Lawsonomy.

My polling site had a large rainbow flag hanging on the wall. Oops. Probably would have been advisable to remove that. The good news is they had an American flag hanging prominently below it

Should have waited around for Trump and the KKK to show up.

I'm glad I voted, and I'm glad it's over

I'm running a table at my polling place for the libertarians. It's been a huge turnout and people are in a good mood. It's 90% trump around here.

Mary does not like bowling, and if I took my 14 year old son and his 14 year old teammates to the cocktail lounge I will be posting in the new "what did you learn while you were in jail"  thread. Thanks for the suggestions though.    I will report back if I discover anything worthwhile.

Well, Trump and Tayyip Erdoğan can do really good things for World together... They can fulfill Bill Burr's idea of wacking half of the world's population.

That looks very familiar Jim. In fact I just voted, and am pretty sure I'm the only one to vote Democrat here, as the "Trump" button was all shiny, but I had to use some WD-40 on the rusty "Hillary" button, to get it to work.

Tried to be the first voter at my polling place.  They already had a crowd at 6 in the morning!  Very rare, as turn out is always under whelming here.  My wife, son and I have a strong voting ethic. Like most people, I'm glad this is over but I am elated it's drawing people to the polls.
