For those of you who follow the other site, any reason I should spend a summer Saturday at Jude' s office or is there anyone worth meeting?

Would have liked to go to the THE show too but the timing is bad for me on that one. Hope to run into some HC-ers either way, I'll most likely be there only on the Saturday 7/16 though (small chance I might also be there on Sunday 7/17).

Just a heads-up for the NorCal folks who don't keep track of HF these days: http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/525693/bay-area-meet-california-february-19th-2011 Same location as last year's meet that Al did. Looks like an interesting meet especially with the vendors - Fang, Jason from Schiit, Doc from Bottlehead, Ultimate Ears, etc. The sheer number of people on the attendee list is astounding....

Just an interest check to see if anyone would want to attend a meet in Charlottesville, VA. I could rent a mansion in wine country on ~30 acres for less than $200 per night. Events besides headphones/speakers could include getting drunk at a local vineyard, concert (schedules not released yet), Monticello tours, other crap etc. I would think sometime in August or September would be a good time. Local airport: CHO 70 min drive: Richmond (RIC) 2 hour drive Dulles (IAD) --> mass transit is available, but is annoying. Have to take a bus to the suburban metro station, take the metro into DC, transfer to the line for Union Station, and then take Amtrak south. Would…

As in the title, just announcing for the beer folks that Cigar City's big yearly release event is March 12th at the brewery. Noon to Midnight, and there will be tons of great beer on tap, as well as food and music.

Tampa Winter Meet will be the weekend of 12/10-12 So, we're throwing around dates, and it seems like the weekend of December 3/4/5 is the least offensive to the parties that matter. Our usual date (last Saturday in July -- 10 a.m. to way past dinner), at the usual place: Ramada Inn & Conference Center I figure all the Jersey Boys know about this already, but what the hell. We let New Yawkers in as long as they've had their shots. Big room this year -- the hotel doubled the friggen' fee, so buy stuff at the auction (or buy raffle tickets, whichever we end up doing). Hey, my wife left her D2000s (Lawton 2000s, full markl plus wood) by the computer, so I'm listening to them as I type this. I forgot how good they are. Mark L. is a genius! Ok so here's the deal: with 3 months' advance notice for this thing, I'm expecting some more HC-ers to show up this year. Ron (HiFlight) is a member of a Yatch Club in Fort Myers and has access to a large salon. He already hosted a meet there and IMO it is a very nice venue at a good per person cost of $15 including lunch (soup, sandwich bar, and cookies). If there is interest I will post pictures of the location and of the water views from the salon. I personally was surprised at how nice the Fort Myers downtown, pictures are also available.
