Meets

I am moving to Cooperstown, New York at the end of May, 2013. My girlfriend will be the only one I know. Any Head-Casers up in that area? Otsego County, Herkimer (sp?), middle of nowhere, New York State? Let's get a couple of micro meets every now and again. Also, we can car-pool to the NYC meet in the fall (we will rent an Audi R8 from Hertz; there's enough space for a portable rig).

So the New York City Century is on September 8 this year. So far, Mike B., JP Numbers and I plan to attend......anyone else interested in riding and/or hanging out and drinking insane amounts of beer that weekend?

Seeing as it looks like I will be moving away from the great state that brought us prohibition, I think it's time to see if there is any interest in a once in a lifetime Oz Fest? Thinking end of October beginning of November or beginning of February. Ok it's a bit of a long-shot but it looks like Mike and I are planning to hit the NYC century ride Sept 9th. I'm not doing the 100 mile ride but there are options for all levels 15-100 miles. I'll likely choose the 55 or 75 mile option, 6000 cyclists ride the event and this year there is a bike an bites feature that have many NYC restaurants participating. This is not a race per say but should be a lot of fun and burn enough calories to enjoy a few great beers and great meals. We could throw in a mini meet and maybe try and finagle a trip to OMA audio! I'm open to moving it somewhere else within 10 miles of where I live. Too many meets all over the state for me this year. Possible meeting to coordinate and help with the details of the "big" August meet @ LAX if anyone interested.

I was curious if anyone here is from New Orleans. I am guessing not, but who knows. I am hoping to put a local meet together sometime. I am not sure when, but my guess is that it will not be for at least a few months. If you are from the area, come say hello.

My family and I are heading to Minneapolis-St. Paul for a concert on April 6, and staying for a few days. I don't know if any of the regulars here are from the Twin Cities, but if anyone wants to grab a beer, let me know.

Its been way too long since I have seen any of you guys. Last time we drank together was actually my 21st birthday over a year ago! I am finishing finals on Dec 21st and would love to get a drink with all of you local troublemakers. Lets plan what day works best for everyone and do something before the year ends. Jp and I have decided to host a meet down here. I've posted it at HF as well. We are looking to have a meet, with gear on Saturday. The rest of the time, is up to those who attend. Depending on the turnout, I may try to get a room at the Embassy Suites where CJ '08 took place. Otherwise, the usual place in Plantation we have the meets in the past.

Since Colin has been gracious enough to let me crash at his place, I'll be in the NYC area from the 7th to the 12th for a couple concerts (7th and 10th). If any NYC area HCers are gonna be free and want to meet up for drinks or food or whatever, let me know and we'll make it happen.

As far as I know I'm the only Manitoban posting on HC, but in case anyone is going to be in the area, we have a small Winnipeg group from the other forum who meet up semi-regularly for food and gear. The next one is Sept. 27. If you're interested, either post here or in the Winnipeg meet thread on HF, or PM me or whatever.

Starting the thread to see who is interested in getting together in Austin in November 2012 for the US Grand Prix Formula One race/Head-Case brouhaha. Race interest or enthusiasm is not required, as a Head-Case family get together is an event unto itself. luvdunhill has mentioned he has room for some people to crash at his house. I'll let him chime in with the details. I'm calling dibs on two spots there for Debbie and I. In trade, if he is interested I will buy his race ticket. And if not I'll compensate some other way. So, who's interested?
