Jp and I have decided to host a meet down here. I've posted it at HF as well. We are looking to have a meet, with gear on Saturday. The rest of the time, is up to those who attend. Depending on the turnout, I may try to get a room at the Embassy Suites where CJ '08 took place. Otherwise, the usual place in Plantation we have the meets in the past.

Craig is in town delivering his daughter to her new school and has a day to kill and a new toy to share (If he throws it together in time amongst his busy-ness "Should be good to go, I have all the parts here, and boards are scheduled to arrive today. Since Colin has been gracious enough to let me crash at his place, I'll be in the NYC area from the 7th to the 12th for a couple concerts (7th and 10th). If any NYC area HCers are gonna be free and want to meet up for drinks or food or whatever, let me know and we'll make it happen.

For the 7th year in a row, I am hosting a spring meet in Bayside NY, on Saturday, March 19th. It would be great if any head-Caser's could come. If you can make it, please post in the thread over at Head-Fi. Brownies and a good time is guaranteed for all. Aaron

As in the title, just announcing for the beer folks that Cigar City's big yearly release event is March 12th at the brewery. Noon to Midnight, and there will be tons of great beer on tap, as well as food and music.

Just an interest check to see if anyone would want to attend a meet in Charlottesville, VA. I could rent a mansion in wine country on ~30 acres for less than $200 per night. Events besides headphones/speakers could include getting drunk at a local vineyard, concert (schedules not released yet), Monticello tours, other crap etc. I would think sometime in August or September would be a good time. Local airport: CHO 70 min drive: Richmond (RIC) 2 hour drive Dulles (IAD) --> mass transit is available, but is annoying. Have to take a bus to the suburban metro station, take the metro into DC, transfer to the line for Union Station, and then take Amtrak south. Would…

Tampa Winter Meet will be the weekend of 12/10-12 So, we're throwing around dates, and it seems like the weekend of December 3/4/5 is the least offensive to the parties that matter. That being the case, I hereby declare that there WILL be a Florida meet (Team Florida attendance is mandatory to maintain gold status) the weekend of December 3, 4, 5, 2010. Early arrivals and late departures are encouraged and expected. Where - Tampa ... any out of towners can book flights to TPA, and we will accommodate you. Ok so here's the deal: with 3 months' advance notice for this thing, I'm expecting some more HC-ers to show up this year. There was a paltry handful last year (but it was certainly a fine group, no complaints there) and I'm sure more can show up this time! Who can be in? It'll be headphones + speakers! Saw this mentioned over at Audio Asylum. I'm sure at least a few of the NorCal folks here will probably want to attend. Lots of interesting vendors too: California Audio Show by Dagogo At first I was semi-interested in traveling out for it, but man, whoever picked a location way out in Emeryville needs a smack upside the head. The hotel venue isn't even close to at least the Oakland airport?! The date will probably be a conflict for me anyway, but that is some serious planning ineptitude. Way to kill the incentive for out-of-town travelers.

Today I was able to get together with Rob (vorlon1 in Head Fi) to compare some IEM

Ron (HiFlight) is a member of a Yatch Club in Fort Myers and has access to a large salon. He already hosted a meet there and IMO it is a very nice venue at a good per person cost of $15 including lunch (soup, sandwich bar, and cookies). If there is interest I will post pictures of the location and of the water views from the salon. I personally was surprised at how nice the Fort Myers downtown, pictures are also available.
