Happy birthday to our lord and saviour, Ric!

With that comma in there, it seems you are pointing out to Ric that you are wishing Jesus a happy birthday. :police: :P

Anyway, happy birthday Ric! Hope you get to watch all the movies your heart desires today.

Cheers! :dan:

> The basic idea is that if the name (in the above example, “Jessie”) is the only thing in the world described by the identifier (“my oldest friend”), use a comma before the name (and after it as well, unless you've come to the end of the sentence). If not, don't use any commas.

Many thanks everyone. It's great every year to see this. Good day here so far. For lunch - sous vide Fred’s Steak/tri-tip, mashed potatoes, and cheesecake. For dinner planning sous vide Fred’s Steak/tri-tip, mashed potatoes, and cheesecake. Hope everyone is having a good (by 2020 standards) Xmas.
