Other site does this and I think it's great for the community. Maybe some of us feel too rebellious to just lift the idea but - that'd be retarded. Hc is a pretty tightly-knit community and I'm personally interested in intertwining it even more with itself.. and, really, just doing something nice for the holiday season. We like gifts, and surprises. As long as we have at least two pairs of people, this is a go. Additionally, I'm going to donate $1 to HC for every person that does this Here's how it'll go: I'll try to match people by country. I encourage everyone to be up for shipping something internationally, just so that we don't end up with a few guy…

This whole Connecticut shooting today really has my hackles up. I can't help but think that if the victims, or in this case the teachers, were armed that there would be fewer casualties when a person snaps and goes on a rampage somewhere. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/12/14/police-respond-to-shooting-at-connecticut-elementary-school/ What in the world would drive someone to shoot and kill 20 innocent elementary school children !?!??!?!

Hello germs, I originally posted this topic on guttersluts.com but really didn't get the responses I was looking for so I figured I would come over here and post it to a less trashy(?) group of sluts. Ok, so I know we all love our stuff and shit but every once in a while we need to write shit down. My reason for writing shit is usually job related. So my hobby is collecting fine government writing instruments made by the fine handicapped people at Skilcraft. The great thing is they are free (unless your a tax payer) and most people just leave them laying around so it's easy to get a good collection. My day usually starts with me using a .5mm mechanical pencil to…

Just wanted to let everyone know that Larry and his daughter were in a terrible car accident this week. Another driver approaching Larry from the opposite direction lost control of his vehicle when both were approaching a previous crash site. The oncoming driver crossed the highway in front of Larry's car and they collided at high speed. Both Larry and his daughter survived but sustained several major injuries. Luckily for them, the EMS folks were literally mins away at the previous crash site and were treating their injuries almost immediately. Larry sustained fractures in both legs, a broken ankle and a number of fractured ribs. He's already had two surgeries since the…

hi there i don't know if it's a taboo question, but was just wondering how come this place isn't ever mentioned on head-fi? am i missing something? is it supposed to be private only (i read some archives and noticed it was invite only at one stage) the reason i ask is that before i read the wikipedia article on headphones (of which this forum is linked, so it mustn't be that private) i had no idea this place existed and it seems like a great place when head-fi's a bit too much. i'd like to continue hanging here so before i get too carried away i just wanted to understand how things roll around here could someone please clarify? thanks, dave

I was going to start this thread a few times, and think of doing so every time I find something I use daily or near daily, and it makes me very very happy each time, like my JH13s and ipod, or Tabasco Sauce. Can be a little nothing, like Tabasco Sauce or something big that you don't regret spending the money on, even if it made you wince to do so at first. Anyway, I've lately come across some things that may even have been around for awhile, but I can't believe how happy they make me every time I use them. Here are a few of my new favorite things: Moisture wicking clothing! Why didn't anyone tell me about this stuff before? I'd been working out in any old cott…

He's arriving on Tuesday via special bus from Alabama. I met his brother, who arrived this past week, and fell in love. I've never had a dog before, but passively wanted one for years. After meeting Henry, his brother, then contacting the breeder and seeing his little guy's pics, I knew he was my dog. I don't know how else to explain it, since I'm as surprised as anyone. He's a Cavaton, half Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and half Coton de Tulear. He was born on June 24. This breeder likes to keep them longer for socialization and health checks. He was raised in a house with two kids, five adult dogs, and his litter mates. Supposed, he's the mellowest of the li…

First post here, it feels good to be a newbie again. There are many familar names here, I wonder why? Can I start some "What headphones should I buy?" threads? I should go do some scouting and perusing. You can never be too safe, you know, especially if there are fierce lions about.

Shelly's cousin Hurricane Harvey is wreaking havoc over the Texas gulf coast. I just wanted to share that we have been in contact with Shel and Steve and both are ok. Steve moved inland and is going to try to get back home today to assess any damage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This year my wife, Karen, will be running the Chicago marathon as a St. Jude hero again. As the flagship of the Children's Hospital Network, St. Jude is a special charity. Unlike last year however, Karen made a deal with her Facebook friends that if they met a certain monetary goal, she would run the race in a Wonder Woman costume (I was actually pushing for a bikini clad Princess Leia, since I am a man of that age). As can be seen below, they did step up. Additional, race-day photos will be forthcoming. If you would like to donate you can do it HERE
