I'm surprised we don't have this in the first TV subforum page. I finished yesterday the first and only season (so far) of "Mare of Easttown" on HBO. I really liked it, very well acted, Kate Winslet did a fantastic job.

I finally started watching BSG two weeks ago and I just finished watching the end of season 3 over the weekend. It's a damn amazing show I can't wait for season 4 to start in February.

So Dusty's post about Whedon's upcoming online musical reminded me that I'd yet to track down the trailer for Dollhouse. OK, so I just finished season 3 of The Wire. This show has continued to impress me. Season 1 was probably the most immediately gripping, but season 2 was also fucking SUPERB, if a bit more complex plot wise and emotionally, and season 3 really provided a lot of closure from loose ends left over in season 3, and for me was the most emotional (yes, I got teary-eyed during the last ten or so minutes, it was really intense. You know like when the bigness of a story just gets to you, and you can't help but have a thousand emotions well up inside? thats what happened). Considering the US Season 3 premier is 5 minutes away, I figured it was time to start this thread. I adore the UK version. I adore the US version. Just watched a marathon of the first 3-4 episodes of this the other night... not bad. About a HS chem teacher (played by the guy who was the dad on Malcolm in the Middle) who is diagnosed with terminal cancer, and decides to make meth to provide for his family when he's gone.

Great first episode! I'm excited to see where they go with it.

Unbelievable that NBC could screw up The Tonight Show transition so badly. If they wanted to get rid of Leno they should have gotten all the way rid of him. Having him at 10pm undermined Conan's chances for a successful start, left doubt hanging in the air, and completely flopped as a format because Leno sucks. Instead of flip-flopping after 6 years of planning to get rid of him, they should have let him go when it failed. Now, Conan is quitting and the stupid-ass hack Leno is back at 11:30. Someone on another forum I'm on brought up an interesting topic. Television shows without a single bad episode. Most shows have a few duds, but not all of them...what would you say was a show without any duds?

Just watched the 1st 2 episodes of this and it seems pretty good so far. Stars Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson as a pair of Louisiana detectives trying to solve a serial killer case.

I am really looking forward to this show starting on Sunday. I downloaded the sneak peak on iTunes and it looks pretty good. A Zombie TV show could be a lot of fun.

While I was waiting for this to air, I have to admit, I didn't go in with much in the way of expectations. But I have to say... I enjoyed the hell out of the premier. Things I liked: * Summer Glau as Cameron * The rest of the cast * Starting it a few years after T2 * How they got to current day * Did I mention Summer Glau? Things I didn't like: * The horrible tatoo cover-up on Lena Headey's arms and back * The stupid "Class Dismissed" line There was lots of action, the acting was solid throughout and the story could be interesting. I haven't finished season one yet. I'm 14 chapters in and am totally addicted. Between this and Halo 3 every muscle in my body with be atrophied by next month. So did anybody catch the season 2 premier yesterday? With out spoiling anything how do you like how the season is starting out?

I've watched the first three episodes now, and overall I think it's going to be a good show. I like that there's not a new case resolved each episode. The character developement is it's strong point.

The new season starts Sunday. Any fans? I've been hooked since day one. Looking forward to this season even more, what with the family man aspect and all.

Anybody else watch this. First couple of episodes have been intriguing, with a rather unique premise it's shaping up to be the few new shows worth watching.

English tv show. Written by Stephen Moffat. Very fast, witty dialogue. Very House - Wilson, Holmes - Watson type humor which I quite enjoy. Just started season 1 but am sad to find out it only has 4 episodes =/ Anyone else watch it?

Based on an Elmore Leonard character, Raylan Givens, played handily by Timothy Olyphant. Lots of guns, gals, good ol' boys, & drawls, to name a few of the Southern cliches that are unapologetically displayed in extremely charming fashion. Have to admit - Olyphant is charismatic as hell. Think I have a bit of a man-crush. Anyone else catching this new series on FX?

Anyone else watching this Beau Willimon/David Fincher/Kevin Spacey/Netflix project? They released all 13 episodes up front. Anyway the pilot's goofy ending scene dialog had me scared, but it's picking up.

I've been fairly impressed with this season's offerings thus far. Especially with the huge improvement in writing quality and originality this season.
