The Mitchell Report is going to be released in about 20 min or so. It's already leaked out that Roger Clemens will be named and it's expected to name anywhere from 50-80 additional players.

As a former Ohioan, it was sad to see both Indians and Reds get eliminated. Not to mention I think it would have been interesting to see Francona back in Fenway for a series.

Kansas City vs. Oakland... man oh man, does a game like that ever make me love baseball more than ever! From the 7th inning on to the 12th, it was pretty intense. Fun to watch the range of emotions of the KC fans as well as those of the players for both teams. Incredible game, and I sure am happy for the Royals. KC has waited a long, long time. I spent most of yesterday watching the conference tournament games and of course watching the ncaa tournament selection show. I think the bracket is pretty well balanced this year and I think Cincinnati is the only team that really should have made it but didn't. I also think it was a nice change to see more of the at-large bids going to teams from smaller conferences. And the biggest head-scracther of the bracket is Tennesee getting a 2 seed how did that happen?? [attachment deleted by admin]

Believe it, the Giants can take it all the way, defeated all the odds, and have an honest chance of taking down the "perfect team". Every time the Giants are supposed to lose, they won... They suck, had a spineless quarterback, and are a "dirty team" according to some packers players? Will the media still be talking all this trash about the giants tommorow morning? I'm loving it... As a Jets fan, i'm really pulling to see the Giants clean up the Patriots, and this has probably got to be an awesome battle of a superbowl. I'm psyched.

So hockey is starting back. Training camp has begun. I'm heading to the preseason opener for the capitals down in raleigh on weds. It's a sickness. I'm really looking forward to the caps opener in Atlanta. I wish I could go down for that one as well, and tip a few back with Mr Hankins. I even watched the rookie game between the caps and the flyers...

So apparently hockey interest has waned quite a bit here, but wanted to start a thread for the playoffs, round 2 and on. Liking the Bruins, they were so much fun to watch this year and just got out of the first round. Toronto just matched up very well with them, and I'm hoping the regular season match-up with the Lightning carries into this series. Just finished watching the Caps & Pens game, glad Caps won this. Series will be great to watch, some great skill, physical play, and genuine dislike going on here. As a Bruins fan, hoping the Bruins get to the next round, I want to see this series go 7 games and get them all tired out Happy also to see SJS…

Hockey is back, though not spanning two calendar years this time. Was great to watch the first games yesterday and last night!

This is probably going to be minority interest, but the precursor to American Football is Rugby. Elliptical ball and two teams of enormous brutal guys (and now women too). Today in health class we had a sub who instead of actually doing anything had us get into an arguent about what a sport. Is curling a sport? Nascar? Cheerleading? What about Chess? The dictionary was pretty vague, so what do you guys think is the difference between a sport and an activity?

Well it's official! After two great AFC and NFC championship games we have the Saints and the Colts going to the superbowl. The saints/vikings game was one of the best i've seen in awhile. Hoping Drew Brees can bring it home this year

Yesterday the team from Hawaii overcame a 5 to 1 deficit in the top of the sixth to win 7 - 5 to make it to the title match against Mexico. They were the underdogs against favored Mexico, but won 12 - 3. Just wanted to say congratulations to the boys from Waipio representing my home town .
