I bought this game a while ago and only last night had a chance to play it and it is fun. The single player that i've played feels like you're in a battle. Enemies are smart and take cover in a way that feels realistic your teams mates are on par with the enemies. I'm glad I spent the money and haven't ever tried the multiplayer yet. I'm going to get some friends over here this week and give it a try.

So I've got the wife's approval on this but I want a rational full run down of why I really should do this. The list that I can come up with goes like this: 1. BluRay player, probably the best of the bunch until Oppo comes out with theirs which may not be until early 09. - Now the question is how is it as a BR player? What sort of remote options are available? Will my Harmony be able to control it? 2. Media center. I've heard rumors about this capability and I'd like to hear more. We tried this with head-fi but it didn't work well because people kinda splintered up into cliques. Anyone interested in getting in some games on friday and saturday nights? That's when i'm usually available. My battlenet nick is: gdloco and i'm on Azeroth US East.

Anyone try the Beta? I liked it a lot, despite the bugs. They did fix a lot of them during the Beta, so they were certainly working their asses off at DICE. I played the XBox 360 version, but the frame rate is too slow, 30fps and slower sometimes. I really want that silky smooth 60fps. Also the PC version looks soooooo much better. I've loved Battlefield since the original 1942 and BF2. I've not been a fan of the Consoled Bad Company versions, though. Is anyone else playing? I figured I'd keep the other thread clear so we don't have to listen to @Dreadhead whine about not being able to catch a Magikarp. Zoe and I have been playing daily (nightly?) since the Friday before last, and she is having a blast. She's even a couple levels ahead of me. This game has gotten a very anxiety ridden teenager out amongst people 5 to 30 years her senior, and occasionally we run into her friends from school she hasn't seen all year. I'm having a blast bonding, and having a fair bit of fun with my catch-and-release Magikarp program. Currently I'm 19360/25000 XP on level 18, and Zoe's deep into level 20. Where are you? **BRENT**

So this game is coming out in a few days and I'm pretty sure that more than a few of us will be getting this game. What system will you guys be buying it for. I'll probably pick it up for whatever system seems to be the majority here and we can make a clan or something.

I know it was announced a while ago. But today they released some more news at Blizzard Invitational. Gameplay video and a cinematic trailer. Both available as a Bit Torrent download at their website.

Completely, 100% unexpected. The band that hasn't allowed any digital sales thus far, has just signed with Harmonix & MTV for a full game. Hell yeah. This totally kills Guitar Hero's Metallica release next year. Still looking forward to that one though. They better have the whole Side 2 of Abbey Road, uninterrupted!

How Many 90 Year Olds Could You Take in a Fight?

Thinking about buying one or the other for my two sons for xmas. They currently have a PS2. I don't think they would be interested in playing any of their old games, and not sure what newer games they are interested in, though I would guess it would be Call of Duty, etc. I know they used to play the ones where you run around the city being a gangsta of some type, forget the name (keep thinking Sin City, but that was a movie) So, which one to go for? From what I understand, PS3 is free online whereas X-box requires a subscription? Also, any deals out there would be appreciated. Ok who else is picking up Mass Effect tomorrow?

Saw a video on gametrailers today about the most anticipated games and I just realized that this year is going to be awesome. I know lots of people called last year great, but none of the games really appealed to me. And I don't have or plan on buying an Xbox 360. But this year: Metal Gear 4, GT 4, Final Fantasy 13, Street Fighter 4, Fallout 3 and Starcraft 2. I've spent most of my gaming youth playing their predecessors. Maybe not so innovative but 2008 is going to be great.

It'll be easier than cluttering up other threads, just to post our chit chat about the clan in here. Tonight, we are trying to play at 8pm EST.

I'm just not into computer games ... I guess I spend to much time at the keyboard and really want to go ride my motorcycles. Unfortunately, I'm starting to think I need to review gaming headphones and I don't want to be completely talking out of my ass ... so I've got to get into some game or other. I am just finishing up Mass Effect for the first time, and immediately wanted to replay it as a different character. I love RPGs that have really high replay value. I think ME will be good for at least another good play through. This got me thinking about other games I've owned (specifically RPGs) and whether or not it was fun to replay them. IMO the grandmaster of all replayable games is Oblivion. Not only because of the huge amount of mods available, but also because of the many different ways you can play your character, and the ease with which one can RP.
