So who's going? When are people arriving and leaving? I'm trying to suss out what my best options for flights/dates are. I've got a friend lives in Chicago who I'll be trying to visit which gives a little flex. Is there some kind of masterplan or is everyone just doing their own thing? Tampa Winter Meet will be the weekend of 12/10-12 So, we're throwing around dates, and it seems like the weekend of December 3/4/5 is the least offensive to the parties that matter. That being the case, I hereby declare that there WILL be a Florida meet (Team Florida attendance is mandatory to maintain gold status) the weekend of December 3, 4, 5, 2010. I'm going to head in for a few days to see what's new in headphones but would really prefer to use it as an excuse to see some friends I miss and haven't seen in a long while. Any takers on a Head-Case contingent at the NYC CanJam in Feb?

Starting the thread to see who is interested in getting together in Austin in November 2012 for the US Grand Prix Formula One race/Head-Case brouhaha. Race interest or enthusiasm is not required, as a Head-Case family get together is an event unto itself. luvdunhill has mentioned he has room for some people to crash at his house. I'll let him chime in with the details. I'm calling dibs on two spots there for Debbie and I. In trade, if he is interested I will buy his race ticket. And if not I'll compensate some other way. Ok so here's the deal: with 3 months' advance notice for this thing, I'm expecting some more HC-ers to show up this year. There was a paltry handful last year (but it was certainly a fine group, no complaints there) and I'm sure more can show up this time! Who can be in? It'll be headphones + speakers! Ok it's a bit of a long-shot but it looks like Mike and I are planning to hit the NYC century ride Sept 9th. I'm not doing the 100 mile ride but there are options for all levels 15-100 miles. I'll likely choose the 55 or 75 mile option, 6000 cyclists ride the event and this year there is a bike an bites feature that have many NYC restaurants participating. This is not a race per say but should be a lot of fun and burn enough calories to enjoy a few great beers and great meals. We could throw in a mini meet and maybe try and finagle a trip to OMA audio! -- Provisional Meet -- It has been far too long since Southern California had a headphone meet. We are the largest headphone community on Head-Fi and the 2009 Can-Jam host city. I hosted the last two big So Cal meets and we're long overdue for another get-together. One of the main challenges hosting a meet in Los Angeles is the cost of the meeting space. My proposal is an advance ticket purchase event. Most meets collect money at the event to cover costs with members usually contributing $10-$20. @jp11801 started talking about this meet in a different thread about a different meet, but if we're going to make something happen then we need a proper meet thread. This could be an opportunity to get the old Travel Team together again! @shellylh claims to be making the trip and Claire and I are considering going too. Some locals like @bozebuttons and @Kerry -- MOT MOT MOT! -- will be there. Not sure if @Iron_Dreamer or @justin are working the show, and even if he's not promoting ECP Audio, @dsavitsk is not far away. So, who else feels like it is safe to come out and play again?

Well Florida has been silent for far too long. We plan to get together Saturday 11/16 for maybe a bit of gear sampling while we drink a few bottles from Mike and my beer collection. There should likely be a trip to the Funky Buddha Brewery, maybe a bicycle ride the following morning and how knows what else. Gene has decided to make an appearance so the meet is titled in his honor! So far Mike, Vicky, Raffy, Carl and Bonnie are on the attendee list but all Head Case folks are welcome. My wife and daughter will be out of town the weekend of 7/17 - 7/19. I am considering a small meet at the house, sort of like Gene has done. I have bedrooms with beds, one with a air mattress and 3 sleepable couches. I am not sure whether about this but if the interest is there, I might consider it. I have a trial about 10 days later so it may depend on how intense the preparation is for it. I would like to limit the meet to about 10 including room for about 6 in the house. Not expecting any out of towners with CJ just passed and DanJam coming up. You are all welcome but I understand if the usuals are unable to make it.
